The Software Engineer/Analyst will need to be a bright, imaginative, and capable programmer specifically seeking a tightly integrated development group and environment where their potential for meaningful impact can be maximized.
Requirements
Required Skills for this role include the following:
• Ability to complete almost all phases of software development life cycle including analysis, design, functionality, testing and support.
• Ability to develop and maintain large scale web/database applications
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with multiple deadlines
• Ability to communicate clearly with internal resources and project manager
• Ability to innovate and provide functional applications with intuitive interfaces
• Practical business application and utilization of the .NET Framework classes
• Experience in XML web services and implementation of security for such web services with IIS
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Transact SQL, SQL Server Report Services, and SQL Server Integration Services
• Working experience with Version Control Systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly break down complex issues
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Enthusiasm, self motivation, ability to work well with others or alone
Required Technology Experience:
• Must have strong knowledge of MS SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server Integration Services
• Needs strong knowledge of the .NET Framework and associated classes
• Operating Systems: Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2005
• Databases: MS SQL Server 2005 and 2008
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Proven experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including, ASP.NET, ADO.NET and Framework
• Languages: C#, VB.Net, SQL/T-SQL, JavaScript/DHTML, VBScript, HTML, XML, and AJAX
• Some experience with front end UI design preferred
• Exposure to PowerBuilder development a plus
• Minimum 2-3 years in backend software design in SQL Server 2000 or 2005, Stored procedures, ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#
• 3 - 10 years of hands-on experience in the workplace
• College or University degree preferred
Responsibilities
The main areas of responsibility for this role include the following:
• Working with Project Managers and development staff to determine needs, and applying or customizing existing technology and interfaces to meet those needs. This includes .NET applications, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server Integration Services.
• Internally maintaining and supporting multiple projects and deadlines.
• Documentation (mainly consisting of Functional Specifications).
