AnchorPoint Rates “Positive” in 2H07 MarketScope on Telecom Expense Management

Feb 13, 2008 - Framingham, MA - AnchorPoint, the leading provider of integrated Telecom Expenses Management (TEM) solutions announced today that the company has received a “Positive” rating in the leading analyst firm Gartner’s MarketScope for Telecom Expense Management, Worldwide, 2H07.1

AnchorPoint provides a fully integrated TEM suite (Invoice Management, Usage Management, Asset Management, and Business Analytics) for wireline, wireless and data services on one platform. AnchorPoint provides customers software license, hosted, and managed service deployment options to meet their specific requirements. The Gartner research notes that “the market continues to show strong interest in solutions that manage telecommunications assets more effectively, but the market has not accelerated significantly in terms of growth, given its relatively small size.” In addition, “the latest Gartner forecast puts the TEM market in North America at just under 30 percent CAGR (compound annual growth rate) from 2006 to 2011.”

According to Gartner, companies who receive a “Positive” rating demonstrate strength in specific areas, but execution in one or more areas may still be developing or inconsistent with other areas of performance. Existing customers should continue planned investments and potential customers should consider this vendor a viable choice for strategic or tactical investments, while planning for known limitations. Firms were given ratings of strong negative, caution, promising, positive or strong positive.

The MarketScope uses evaluation criteria to rate TEM vendors based on characteristics including business model, customer satisfaction, innovation and track record among others.
